The CS485 line driver is an RS-232 to RS-485
interface converter. It allows an RS-232 device to
reliably transmit data over long distances (up to 4000
feet). The CS485 has many features not normally found in
typical line drivers, and is intended for operation in
harsh industrial environments.

 |
The CP485x4 line driver is a quad RS-232
to RS-485 interface converter. It allows an RS-232
device to reliably transmit data over long distances (up
to 4000 feet). The CP485x4 has many features not
normally found in typical line drivers, and is intended
for operation in harsh industrial environments.

Trane VAV Gateway for Varitrane VAV
Controllers
The Centaurus Prime Trane-485 Gateway allows any front-end
system (Modbus Master or BACnet/IP) that communicates using
either the industry-standard Modbus or BACnet protocols to
communicate to Trane VAV field equipment. The Trane VAV
field devices will appear to the front-end system as a
series of Modbus SLAVE devices or BACnet Devices. Each
Trane-485 Controller will map to one of these devices. Real
time point data from the Trane VAV controllers is then
mapped to equivalent registers, coils, and bits on the
Modbus system, or as AI, BI, AO, and BO objects on the
BACnet system. All operations are transparent to the user
and the host computer.
Staefa Gateway for
Smart II
Controllers
The Centaurus Prime Staefa Gateway allows any front-end
system (Modbus Master or BACnet/IP) that communicates using
either the industry-standard Modbus or BACnet protocols to
communicate to Staefa Smart II field equipment. The Staefa field
devices will appear to the front-end system as a series of
Modbus SLAVE devices or BACnet Devices. Each Smart II Controller
will map to one of these devices. Real time point data from the
Staefa controllers is then mapped to equivalent registers,
coils, and bits on the Modbus system, or as AI, BI, AO, and BO
objects on the BACnet system. All operations are transparent to
the user and the host computer.
Landis & Gyr (Landis &
Staefa)
Gateway for
"P1 Protocol" Controllers
The Centaurus Prime “P1” Gateway allows any front-end system
(Modbus Master or BACnet/IP) that communicates using the either
industry-standard Modbus or BACnet protocols to communicate to
Siemens (also known as Staefa, Landis & Staefa, Landis & Gyr,
Powers, or even MCC Mark Controls, for real old-timers) P1-trunk
field equipment. The P1-trunk field devices supported (MPU, DPU
and TEC devices) will appear to the front-end system as a series
of Modbus SLAVE devices or BACnet Devices. Real time point data
from the Siemens P1-trunk controllers is then mapped to
equivalent registers, coils, and bits on the Modbus system, or
as AI, BI, AO, and BO objects on the BACnet system. All
operations are transparent to the user and host computer
